Chakalaka Biltong
“Chakalaka” 😄 — that’s a fun one!
It’s actually a South African spicy relish traditionally made with garlic, smoked paprika, beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, and chilli. It’s often served as a side dish with grilled meat (braai). We use the spice version of this sought after tangy tomato sensation.
When you put them together, you get biltong infused with Chakalaka-style spices — a zesty, smoky, slightly sweet, and fiery snack that packs both protein and punch.
